Answer to Trivia

Disney is currently working on a live-action remake of Mulan starring Liu Yifei as the Chinese maiden who disguises herself to serve in the Chinese army. In the original 1998 animated film, Ming-na Wen voiced Mulan but as yet she has not been announced as being involved in the new film.

Ming-na Wen got her big break in The Joy Luck Club which many people incorrectly cites as the only other major Western film featuring a predominantly Asian cast. In fact, many Hollywood films have featured a mostly Asian cast including Memoirs of a Geisha, Better Luck Tomorrow, and Rumble in the Bronx among many others.

This week's new film Crazy Rich Asians grossed over $171 million making it the highest-grossing Hollywood film that features a cast of mostly Asian actors. Crazy Rich Asians is now available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD.
